In accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 675 of 31 December 1996 (‘Protection of people and other subjects concerning the processing of personal data’, hereafter referred to as ‘Privacy Law’) and subsequent changes, OPENSOUND Snc, with registered office in Rome, Via B. Cerretti 32, which is responsible for the treatment of data, informs those concerned of the following:

1 - PROCEDURE AND PURPOSE FOR PROCESSING DATA
1.1 All personal data which you provide to OPENSOUND Snc will be handled and saved in our offices or other locations, including abroad; it may be collected, recorded, saved, deleted and destroyed, in order to enable the best possible management of the opensoundmusic.com website and in order to provide commercial information and publicity and/or promotional material about our activities, productions, publications and editions.

1.2 In conformity with Article 9 of the Privacy Law, this data processing will be carried out according to the principles of honesty, lawfulness and transparency and will be handled with tools – including electronic and/or automatic ones – which are appropriate for guaranteeing the safety and privacy of the data and to ensure that they are not altered, deleted or destroyed. We will also ensure that they will not be accessed by anybody who is unauthorized and that they will not be processed in any way that is forbidden or inappropriate to the purposes for which the data were collected. The data are held strictly in accordance with the purposes listed above and will not be held for any longer than the time necessary for those purposes. The information obtained by OPENSOUND Snc are further protected by advanced technology security devices and appropriate procedures.

The submission of data is optional and is not required by law. We inform you, however, that if you refuse to provide all or part of the required data when you register, this may make it impossible for us to fulfil the purposes listed above and provide you with our services.

3 – YOUR RIGHTS
We remind you that your rights are protected by Article 13 of the Privacy Law. This states, among other things, that you have the right to know about the existence of personal data which concerns you and to receive intelligible information about those data and their origins as well as the purposes of their treatment. You also have the right to request that the data be deleted, corrected, undated or added to. You may refuse, on the basis of a legitimate reason, that part or all of them be processed, even thought they might be relevant to the purpose of their collection. Furthermore you can freely refuse to allow your personal data to be used for commercial information and publicity material, direct sales or market research, and interactive commercial communication.
